CCC Group Rides for the Upcoming Week
Author Last Post
Special Announcements:

1.  As some of you may know, there has been a group doing an informal 24 mile clay ride on Thursday mornings at 9 am from Bradley’s Country Store.  I pleased to report that that ride is now an “official" CCC ride led by Greg New and Ed Livingston (thanks guys!).  That means that the ride leaders and all CCC members on this ride will now be covered by CCC’s liability and injury insurance.  Come ride with the group if you are free on a Thursday mornings.  All paces are welcome, but, as always, please load the route on your favorite device or print a copy to carry with you.

2. The Workout Wednesday ride at 9 am on Wednesdays has not been getting enough riders to maintain a rotating paceline for the entire ride (although we have had nice rides).  Consequently, are discontinuing the 9 am start and restarting the same ride at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, March 20.  Sunset on March 20 is 7:49 pm, so we should have more than enough time to finish the ride (but bring front and rear lights just in case).  The idea behind this ride is the same — i.e., a good mid-week workout.  However, moving the ride to 5:30 pm will allow riders who are working to join us (at least those that get off work in time to make it to Chaires by 5:30 pm).  The pace remains B++/A/A+ (17 to 22); however, if anyone would like to add a more social pace group, perhaps without a pace line, please let me know.

3. Save the date - on Sunday, March 24, Neal Dimacali will be doing a Gravel Cycling Skills Clinic at the Miccosukee Greenway, Edenfield Road Trailhead.  Full details have been posted on the CCC event calendar.
This sounds like a great opportunity to get some skills training.  I am planning to participate myself.  You must be a CCC member to participate in this clinic.  A big thanks to Neal for agreeing to offer us this clinic.

4.  Final reminder that the Dirty Pecan ride is next Saturday, March 2.  While not produced or supported by CCC, I have heard from many members who are riding this year.
