Howdy, All:
Wow! The ol’ Event
Calendar is just chock-a’-block with all sorts of ride opportunities,
so it’s a great weekend to participate in some Capital City Cyclists
shenanigans. Weatherwise, the ol’ crystal-ball-o’-weather-prognostication speculate
Sat morning should be relatively rain-free.
(…Uh, maybe not Sunday, but come on and say it with me: “…Cycling is an outdoors sport &
sometimes a water sport…”)
Saturday: Good
'ol Saturday Chaires (…the start time is 9:00 and remains that
through year’s-end…I will be at the Time Trial, so please have a fine time! or Relaxed
Ride 10 10 10 (CASUAL NO DROP - 10 mph or less, 10 miles or less) or
CCC Fall Time Trial Series "Carpe Celeritas!"
For all who have signed
up (greetings to 1st-timers Mark O'Neill & Robby Nowell…may
the event live down to yer expectations) and those who were conscripted,
the Start Sheet is attached along with a “Best Times” recap. We will fight about discuss the
starting order at the 9:00 riders’ meeting. Please excuse any duplicate emails but I want to make sure you guys get your Event info.
NOTE:
Old Plank Road is closed between Tram & Natural
Bridge Roads until mid-Oct, at least. To
get to Natural Bridge Rd & the Park, you will have to journey either through
Woodville (turn left @ Ace Hardware) or use Hwy 59, South of Wacissa Please consider coming out to spectate, because where else will you get a chance to ring them Cowbells?
Sunday: West
Lake Road Ride (C+/B- pace, 28 miles) or TS
Green, W. Lake, Reeves Fish Camp 35 Miles or Cascades
West, re-born! (Yeah, Michelle!)
Just burned 2,000 calories. That’s the
