Gosh, Oh Golly…we’re on the cusp of Fall here in little ol’ North Fla. Well, per the calendar, we are. Even so, I plan to enjoy the cool-ish morning or two we’re getting. Hope they continue.
If you are of a mind to work on yer pedaling form and cadence or just happy to appreciate the breeze in yer face, check out these interesting offerings. As always, they’re listed below from the Event Calendar. Please consider joining in, yes?
Saturday: Good ol' Saturday Chaires (…hope no one minds that I’m still having fun) or something brand new: Salt Road Ride aka/pretty, pretty ride 54 miles (…looks like a busy weekend at the Miccosukee Community Center)
Sunday: West Lake Road Ride (C+/B- pace, 28 miles) or TS Green, W. Lake, Reeves Fish Camp 35 Miles or something else "brand new-ish": Sunday Classics - "The Pig" w/ Miles Johnson (B+, 32 miles) (…Given recent turnouts, I opine that a “weekly repeating ride format” Sunday ride is what folks want instead of a “rotating route format". So, Michelle Crouse has stepped up to host an “Other Sunday Ride”; same Leon County start location and same or similar routes each week.
…and if that’s not enough for the next 4 days
Monday/Labor Day: Labor Day '25 - Church Hill at-the-end Loop (B+, 38 miles) (...Whacha say?)
My neighbor said his wife didn't think he'd name their newborn daughter something ridiculous. He called her Bluff...
