TOSRV South 2007
April 21-22, 2007

The Event
The Capital City Cyclists club is proud to present the 26th annual Tour of Springtime Rural Vistas South.

Tour the rural back roads of North Florida and South Georgia. The ride will take you through several small rural towns, across gently rolling hills, by picturesque farmlands and pecan groves in the bloom of springtime. We promise great food and plenty of it, good company, full ride support including medic and mechanic, and true southern hospitality. Reserve your space now. The ride is limited to 500 riders to preserve the quality of the ride. This may be the best two day ride you have ever done.

Terrain and Mileage
This two day ride is a tour, not a race. The last leg of the standard century route back into Quincy has some notable hills. The rest of the standard route and the entire metric route is a mixture of flat terrain and gently rolling hills. Both the standard and metric centuries have a Saturday night destination of Albany, Georgia.

Route Options
The Standard Route is 200 miles in 2 days. More experienced riders will like this challenge originating and finishing in the picturesque town of Quincy, Florida (see map). This route is suited for the conditioned rider.

The Metric Route is 126 miles in 2 days. Intermediate riders will enjoy the ride originating and finishing in Cairo, Georgia (see map). This is the preferred choice for riders who would not be able to finish the standard route in time to be off the course by 5:00 p.m.

Camping
You can bring camping gear, and we'll carry it for you. Inside and outside camping accommodations will be available in Quincy at the Recreation Center on Friday night, April 20, and at Dougherty High School in Albany on Saturday night, April 21. Outdoor camping is also available in Cairo on Friday night. Showers will be available at the Quincy and Albany locations only.
